Happy New Year!

Clients due in on Monday, the first official day of my new venture. Tomorrow and Sunday I will be looking to finish a few details to make the space more welcoming and pull it all together. I also hope to take some pictures as well to share online and to help give some of you that extra push you need to make an appointment.

I look forward to being able to offer massage services in a space that I can be proud of and that as a client you can feel comfortable referring your friends and family to.

Ashiatsu

Being offered right here in Hernando County, Spring Hill Florida 34606...

Ashiatsu

 literally means foot (ashi) pressure (atsu) in Japanese

With bars installed across the room to help me balance on the table and move about my clients body I use my FEET to apply pressure to create a deeply relaxing and deeply therapeutic massage. Most beneficial on the back but can be applied on the legs, arms, hands, feet and neck as well. Truly a full body massage routine that will leave you feeling relaxed without the pain and soreness of a traditional deep tissue massage. 

This Video Link can give you a slight look on what to expect with Ashiatsu. Each treatment can be detailed to your needs and comfort level. Even combining Ashiatsu and traditional massage. At Balanced Therapy, we hope the addition on this service will allow us to offer you more and help you find the balance you are searching for. 

This is also termed as "bare foot massage" or "compression massage".

SHAKLEE

Hunting for both a vitamin that will keep up with my busy schedule and something I could be proud to say I use, I found Shaklee. Around for over 50 years, I was actually introduced to Shaklee about 10 years ago through my massage instructor. Now that I myself am in my 30's I see the benefits of taking care of myself and making good choices for myself and my kids. I am happy to say the Vitalizer is my favorite item currently and am sure more products will be added to that list as I discover the benefits of other products.

YOGA

We will start Yoga classes in mid to late January. We have had a few suggestions for times and days and would love to have more suggestions. Classes will be small, likely 4-5 Yogi per class. Classes will start at beginners levels with advanced postures added as needed or requested. These yoga classes will be very low key, easy and comfortable to attend. No pressure, not expectations, and all positivity! We have HIGH hopes for what we would like to offer and hope you will  make suggestions along the way.

Exciting New Year...

Post Cards in print!

Letters mailed out and business/appointment cards in print as well.

I am learning as much as I can about the website promotion. Thanks to family, friends, and clients the facebook account is being shared. I have linked and searching for links etc.

The main therapy room looks wonderful. Needs a few more touches. Also need to start working on the entry area and waiting/yoga space. I think you will LOVE it!

Moving Forward

Balanced Therapy, LLC is moving full steam ahead.

Did a little browsing over the weekend to find some details for the office. I am in need of some rugs, 2 books cases, easily movable chairs and accent tables. The search is not going to well! Going to search some more on Monday, wish me luck.

I never realized how exciting and stressful this would truly be. I am so excited to be able to offer my massage services directly and promote myself as a therapist. It is such a breath of fresh air.

I am slightly hopeful that when the time is right I will find another therapist that is like me. With having two rooms available for services it would be ideal to help a fellow therapist and perhaps broaden the therapies that can be offered. I have searched by putting an ad on craigslist, that did not go so well. I hope to cross paths when the time is right.

The office looks wonderful, even with things being half empty. I hope to get the Ashiatsu bar up by this weekend. Volunteers to try it out NEEDED! ;)

We have gotten a few calls from people about Yoga. I wish we were ready! It is so nice though to get these calls and emails. Gives us incentive to push forward to do things right.

Balanced Therapy, LLC was inspected yesterday by the Health Dept....and WE PASSED!

Last bit of details to finish as we wait for the license number.

Still waiting...

Inspections are still at the top of my waiting list....Without these I cannot open. It has been just past 30 days since the state cashed my check. I am hoping this week to receive a call to set up inspections as this apparently is done by a 3rd party. I am "allowed" to call as they ask to wait 30 days since you mailed your application, and I decided to count 30 days since they cashed my check. I do not want to harass anyone...going to give it a few more days until I call. From what I can gather, I should receive a letter, then a call....I could still be waiting another 30 days!
